2K20 GAMEPLAY RULE CHANGES
-- 1ST EDITION --
***DISCLAIMER*** PLEASE NOTE THAT AS OF 2K22 the Payback Limits & Loadouts, Submission Attempts, and Comeback Skill Usage Rules listed below are OUTDATED and NO LONGER IN EFFECT -- see 2K20 Gameplay Changes post for those Updated Rules, or refer to the always up-to-date and current gameplay rules in effect on the PWG League Rules postPAYBACK LIMITS (outdated)
Based on the powerfulness of Paybacks we have decided to limit both lvl 1 and lvl 2 paybacks to ONE USE EACH per match.
LVL 1 PAYBACKS -- allowed 1x per matchLVL 2 PAYBACKS -- allowed 1x per matchAny More Uses of Paybacks will result in your Opponent receiving the Win via DQ!
PAYBACK LOADOUTS (outdated)
You may now select any LVL 1 Payback and pair it with any LVL 2 Payback ONLY if they are listed below. If they are not on this list then it is illegal to select it.
LVL 1 PAYBACKS ALLOWED- Possum
- Speed Buff
- Fist of Fury
- Reversal Gain
LVL 2 PAYBACKS ALLOWED- Finisher Gain
- Resilence
- Tank
- Low Blow
- Move Thief
- Power of the Punch
- Poison Mist
SUBMISSION ATTEMPTS (outdated)
Due to the Submission mechanic power and easiness leading to the low percentage of successful escapes and sudden ending of matches - counter to what we'd like to see for MOTN -- we have revised our rules on Legal Submissions which are listed below:
Sub attempts off Finisher are now considered LEGAL after TWO Finisher/OMG hit -- meaning 3rd Finisher & onwards you can tap
Sub attempts off Signature or Normal moves are still outright BANNED
COMEBACK SKILL USAGE (outdated)
No Longer Allowed to Use Comeback after being hit with a Finisher. In past games, the mechanic wouldn't allow you to so this was a "built-in rule" but it's since changed so now this is an official rule.
OFFENSIVE CATAPULT FINISHERS
Offensive Catapult Finishers have been banned.. Defensive Catching Finishers remain unlimited.
GLITCHES & DISCONNECTIONS PROTOCOL
VISIBLE PROOF of game/match alternating Glitches, as well as the context of DCs, will be reviewed by Staff before a verdict is reached -- match can be voted to be restarted if deemed appropriate or voted to stand as is.
